The Slim Your Bin Campaign is now in its 6th successful year.
2005 will see "Recycle The possibilities are endless..." will continue to spread the message on how to cut down on waste and Slim Your Bin.
Recycle:- The possibilities are endless...
The campaign continues to focus on encouraging all of us to reduce our waste by shopping smart, and supporting local kerbside schemes, recycling banks and household-waste recycling sites.
Samples of what your rubbish has been turned into can be seen on the Slim Your Bin roadshow. To enable local Authorities to continue to collect your materials for recycling we need to close the loop and encourage consumers to buy products made from recycled materials.
The SYB roadshow is currently touring the 7 counties in the Anglian Region until the end of October 2005 and the full schedule can be found on the www.slimyourbin.org.uk website.
The roadshow will be visiting Town centres, schools, County Shows, Lowestoft Air festival,The Northampton Balloon Festival, supermarkets, farmer’s markets, Environment days and many other events throughout the next 5 months.
On the forthcoming roadshows Tesco Bags for Life will be given away with information on How What and Where to recycle, a pen made from recycled paper, and a bookmark. Free to enter competitions will be available at some roadshows.
The trailer has been updated with new displays and lots more information on how and where to buy recycled products, information on real cloth nappies, wormeries and composting. The possibilities are endless........Come along and find out how to continue to Slim Your Bin and receive your free Bag For Life and information pack.
The campaign continues to work closely with the Local Authorities helping to promote their kerbside collection schemes.
